Since we are in the peak of summer and the weather is getting warmer, I wanted to share my top skincare products that I use during the summer to keep my skin protected from the sun and hydrated.
- Cleanser: Wash your face, every single night. Don’t you dare go to bed with your makeup on girlfriend! No one has time for pre-mature wrinkles, blackheads, whiteheads, acne, etc. You get the point! My favorite cleanser to use on a daily basis is the Murad Environmental Shield Essential-C Cleanser. You can use it with your facial brush or just your hands. Not only does my skin feel clean, it also feels hydrated. I don’t like cleansers that suck the moisture out of my skin. If you don’t either, check this one out. You can find it at your local Ulta. This retails for, $38.
- Moisturizer: No matter what season we are in, it’s important to moisturize your skin. If you have oily skin (especially during the summer), I would recommend avoiding oil based products. Try to find a moisturizer that is labeled oil-free. My favorite is the Aveeno daily moisturizer. You can find this at any local grocery store. This retails for, $12.
- Sunscreen: A Must! I cannot stress how important it is to use a daily sunscreen, not only on your body but your face. Protect that skin, honey! Here is my go-to that you can purchase on Amazon.com. This retails for, $20.
- Facial Mist: This is a perfect skin pick-me-up when your skin is feeling dry. Since the weather gets warmer, your skin cries out for moisture so it will grab all the moisture is can from your foundation/tinted moisturizer and start enhancing your fine lines and wrinkles. I like to carry a travel-size rose water facial spray to give my skin a dose of moisture so that my face stays looking hydrated. My go-to is Mario Badescu facial spray. I purchase mine from my local Ulta Beauty Store. This retails for, $7.
