Aloe Vera Masks

Hello Beauties!

Lately, due to the weather change and heat, my skin has been in dire need of moisture. Aloe vera is commonly ingested as it’s packed with antioxidants and healing properties to boost the immune system. I’ve also been reading up on the benefits of aloe vera applied topically and they are just as beneficial.

I purchase my aloe vera leaf at a local Asian market. If you do not have access to an aloe vera leaf, you can also buy the aloe vera gel from your local drugstore (just make sure its free of alcohol).

Here are three of my favorite face mask concoctions that I trade off on a few times a week or as needed:

For breakouts/blackheads/acne

  • 2 teaspoons of aloe vera (or aloe vera gel)
  • 4-6 drops of Oregano Oil – serves as an anticeptic
  • 1 tablespoon of granulated brown sugar

For dry skin

  • 2 tablespoons aloe vera (or aloe vera gel)
  • 2-3 teaspoons of Almond Oil

For anti-aging/skin tightening

  • 2 tablespoons aloe vera (or aloe vera gel)
  • 1 egg white

For these masks, make sure to let it sit on your face for 15-20 minutes before washing it off with cold water.

Let me know which mask you tried and what you thought of the results!

XOXO, Sonia
